Get paid the way your customer wants to pay
Bank transfer and cash on delivery from day one. Card payments on every plan through Tajr Payments, or on the Max plan through your own Tap account.
Four ways to pay, all from your settings
Your customer sees only what you switched on. Two of the four need no gateway at all, so a store can take money on its first day.
- Bank transfer
The customer uploads the transfer receipt with the order and you confirm it from your orders screen. No gateway involved.
- Cash on delivery
For your own delivery and for collection from the shop, inside the UAE, each with a fee you set. Not available with couriers.
- Card payments
On every plan through Tajr Payments, with no payment gateway account of your own. On the Max plan you can use your own Tap account instead.

Instalments for your customers on the Pro and Max plans, switched on with your own account keys with each.

Tajr Payments
For stores without a payment gateway account
- Verify once: your trade licence, ID and IBAN, uploaded from the dashboard
- No payment gateway account of your own
- Your customer pays on a secure page; card details never touch your shop
- Payouts to your bank account start once Tap approves your account, then follow Tap's payout cycle
- Tajr's commission depends on your plan, and is lower on higher plans
- Refunds are processed through Tajr support
Your own Tap account
For stores that already have a Tap merchant account
- Connect your account from your payment settings
- The money lands in your Tap account directly
- No Tajr commission; processing fees are between you and Tap
- Payouts and refunds from your Tap dashboard
- The order still shows as paid in your Tajr dashboard
Tajr Payments opens once Tap approves Tajr as a marketplace, and payouts to each store start once Tap approves that store's account. Until Tajr Payments opens, card payments are available through your own Tap account on the Max plan.
Questions about payments
Do I need my own payment gateway?
No. Card payments run through Tajr Payments on every plan: you verify once and need no gateway account of your own. On the Max plan you can use your own Tap account instead. Bank transfer and cash on delivery need no gateway at all.
When can I start taking cards with Tajr Payments?
Tajr Payments opens once Tap approves Tajr as a marketplace. After that, you verify your store once, and payouts start once Tap approves your account.
Where does the customer type their card details?
On the gateway's own secure page. The card details never touch your shop or our servers.
When does the money reach me?
With Tajr Payments, your share is paid out to your verified bank account on Tap's payout cycle, once Tap has approved your account. With your own Tap account, payouts follow your own arrangement with Tap.
Does Tajr take a cut of every payment?
Only on card payments through Tajr Payments, at your plan's commission, which is lower on higher plans. With your own Tap account, Tajr takes nothing and the processing fee is between you and Tap. Bank transfer and cash on delivery carry no commission.
How do Tabby and Tamara work?
On the Pro and Max plans, you switch each on from your payment settings with your own account keys, and they appear to the customer at checkout.
How do I refund a customer?
It depends on how they paid. Tajr Payments: refunds are processed through Tajr support; write to support@tajr.ae with the order number. Your own Tap account: you refund from your Tap dashboard. Tabby or Tamara: from that provider's portal. Bank transfer or cash on delivery: you send the money back yourself and record it on the order with the transfer reference.
Is there a fee for cash on delivery?
You set it, and your own delivery and collection each carry their own. It is added to the order total, so the customer sees it before confirming.
Can I switch a method off?
Yes, at any time from your payment settings, and it disappears from checkout immediately.
