Terms and Conditions
1. Who we are
Tajr is a software-as-a-service platform that lets businesses licensed in the United Arab Emirates create and run their own online stores. The platform is operated by Tajr Cloud Technology, Dubai.
2. Our role
Each store on Tajr is owned and run by an independent merchant, who is the seller and is responsible for their products, prices, delivery, customer service and refund policy. Tajr is not a party to the sale between a merchant and their customer.
3. Merchant accounts
- Merchants must be businesses licensed in the UAE and must provide accurate information and valid documents (trade licence, owner's Emirates ID and bank account details).
- At sign-up, merchants accept these terms, the Anti-Counterfeit Policy and the Prohibited Items list.
- Merchants are responsible for keeping their login details secure and for all activity on their account.
4. Payments
Card payments are processed by licensed payment providers, and Tajr does not store card data. On every plan, a store can take cards through Tajr Payments: Tajr receives the payment through its Tap Payments marketplace account and pays the merchant's share, after the commission for the merchant's plan, to the merchant's verified bank account once Tap has approved the merchant's account, on Tap's payout cycle. Refunds of card payments taken through Tajr Payments are processed through Tajr support. On the Max plan, a merchant can use their own Tap account instead, under their own agreement with Tap. On the Pro and Max plans, a merchant can offer buy-now-pay-later through Tabby and Tamara with their own account with each. Bank transfer and cash on delivery are settled between the merchant and their customer.
5. Plans and billing
Plan and service fees are charged at the published prices from the merchant's prepaid Tajr wallet, which the merchant tops up by card through Tap. A cancelled paid plan stays active until the end of the period already paid for, then moves to the Free plan; the unused part is not refunded. See the Refund and Chargeback Policy.
6. Acceptable use
The platform may not be used to sell prohibited, counterfeit or illegal goods, or for any fraudulent or misleading activity. Tajr may review stores and products and remove any content that breaks these rules.
7. Suspension and termination
Tajr may warn a merchant, hide their listings, suspend their store or close their account for breaches of these terms or the law, and will notify the payment provider and the authorities where required.
8. Liability
The platform is provided "as is". Tajr is not responsible for the products merchants sell, their quality or their delivery, and to the extent permitted by law its liability is limited to the fees the merchant paid in the previous three months.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates and the Emirate of Dubai, and the courts of Dubai have jurisdiction.
10. Changes and contact
We may update these terms and will publish the new date on this page. Questions: support@tajr.ae.
